Restaurant

Dot’s Hop House and Cocktail Courtyard

2645 Commerce Street, Dallas, TX 75226

Dot’s Hop House is a 15,000-square-foot restaurant and bar located in the heart of Deep Ellum. The client’s vision was to create a space capable of fostering vibrant gatherings both day and night. Mayse & Associates Architects transformed the site from two existing shell buildings and a former parking lot into an activity hub enriched with industrial and historical architectural elements.

The establishment features an enclosed bar and dining area complemented by a 10,000-square-foot patio. The outdoor space dramatically reshapes the atmosphere of the restaurant, blending industrial exposed beams and string lights with distressed brick and chandeliers crafted with a vintage look. Brick planters, and a mix of decomposed granite and concrete flooring create a seamless transition that supports an immersive indoor-outdoor dining experience.

Mayse & Associates Architects worked closely within the client’s goals to design a destination that welcomes a mix of diverse guests. The result is a versatile community space that feels authentic, inviting, and rooted in the character of Deep Ellum.
