Tucked into the base of the Sierra Nevada foothills, the AC Hotel by Marriot in Folsom, California will deliver 130 spacious guestrooms and 8 executive suites across its five stories. The design of the hotel is inspired by classical European architecture. It blends these classical influences with modern elegance by emphasizing clean lines and balanced proportions. Whether guests are staying for a business trip or for a vacation, the hotel provides a serene experience to recharge and relax.

The exterior aesthetic of the hotel is meant to inspire peace and emulate the natural beauty of the surrounding region through a similar color palette. Tile, metal, and synthetic stucco, will be carefully articulated across the facades to accentuate the forms of the hotel and highlight the plentiful glass windows. Keen eyes might even notice that the building utilizes a concrete podium for the first floor to tie the building into the site and support the four levels of wood construction above. Environmentally conscious guests will appreciate that the roof is equipped with solar panels to support the hotel with clean energy. When guests first enter the hotel, they will be welcomed by a carefully crafted lobby. Designed by Interior Designer, Flick Mars, the lobby will invite guests to feel comfortable before they even enter their room.
